We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist PRN I Ocala Neighborhood Hospital I Ocala to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, collaborating with physicians to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately.
- Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks.
- Assist during exams, treatments, and procedures, including chaperoning correlating findings with procedure being performed and ensuring Time-Out observed on appropriate procedures according to policy.
- Demonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IVs.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate ability to perform laboratory Quality Controls and Assessments, and routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function according to Laboratory Policy and Procedure.
- Ensure proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment, and medications are available for patient care and Par levels meet facility needs.
- Participate in QAPI activities, including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards.
- Adhere to established facility/departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare patient meals as needed in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Attend and participate in all applicable facility meetings, training, and development workshops.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Required advanced MRI certification upon hire.
- Prefer at least one year of experience as MRI Technologist.
- Required ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist.
- Must have current BLS certification.
