Job Description
This position is for an attorney with 1-2 years' experience to join our General Liability teams in our Westchester County offices. As a Litigation Associate, you will represent business owners, landlords, managing agents, security services organizations, and commercial business owners in general liability litigation. You will work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategy for the defense of general liability actions, draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents, and participate in depositions, conferences, hearings, and all other aspects of general liability litigation.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategy for the defense of general liability actions;
  • Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents;
  • Represent clients in court;
  • Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings, and all other aspects of general liability litigation;
  • Interact with medical experts;
  • Conduct legal and medical research and analysis;
  • Draft motions;
  • Work cooperatively with others;

Education and Experience Required
- Admission to practice in New York;
- At least 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation;
- Familiarity with NY Labor Law a plus.

Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence;
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.

Salary and Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
