Unit Description

The 9T Cardiology Medical/Surgical Unit is dedicated to delivering top-tier, compassionate care to cardiac patients and their families. This unit features 32 beds and offers 24/7 care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients experiencing acute illnesses or various stages of recovery from diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical interventions. We manage a diverse range of conditions affecting the cardiovascular system, including:
  • Heart failure
  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), Angina, and Chest Pain
  • Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI)
  • Coronary Artery Disease
  • Arrhythmias
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

Additional Care Capabilities

The Tower Cardiology unit is also equipped to care for patients following diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac device implantation, and Electrophysiology studies or ablation procedures.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the relevant nursing specialty.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Professional Nurse license in the state of Georgia.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Preferred:
  • National Certification in a Clinical Specialty.
