Position Overview: We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager / Custodial Supervisor to oversee our operations supporting the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) at multiple federal locations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dedicated team in delivering maintenance services, including both scheduled and emergency repairs of equipment and systems.
  • Manage and supervise all custodial services and the custodial workforce, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Engage with clients, manage financial planning, and oversee human resources functions related to operations.
  • Coordinate and direct all contract functions, ensuring compliance with operational standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Project Manager and involves supervising various technical and custodial staff.

Key Duties:

  • Provide leadership and direction for all contract-related activities, acting as the on-site authority in the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Oversee custodial operations, ensuring adherence to contract deliverables and best practices in cleaning and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with service requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and manage contract performance metrics to meet financial goals.
  • Lead a team of custodial and technical staff, fostering a trained and disciplined workforce.
  • Manage daily operations, including maintenance schedules and subcontractor administration.
  • Evaluate project efficiency and control operational expenses while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Provide administrative and technical guidance to staff in executing work assignments.
  • Supervise the procurement of supplies and maintain inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality control programs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of recent experience in facilities management or related fields.
  • At least three years of experience managing custodial services in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of custodial services, cleaning strategies, and regulatory compliance standards.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CMMS systems.
  • Experience with project management and facilities operations.
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships and manage service contracts effectively.

Physical Requirements: The role involves regular sitting, using hands for tasks, and occasional lifting of light weights.
