As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will provide expert guidance to establish and uphold precise high-complexity technical methodologies, ensuring timely and cost-effective testing and processing of patient specimens in the Microbiology laboratory.

You will be responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and scheduling qualified personnel to manage the substantial workload typical of a high-volume laboratory dedicated to Microbiology testing and associated tasks.

Additionally, you will establish and oversee the operating budget for your designated cost center, ensuring the efficient use of resources.

Your expertise will be essential in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring that all processes comply with current requirements.

Effective communication will be key in fostering positive relationships within the department, across departments, and with our customers.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of four years of progressive experience in a clinical laboratory setting is required.

• At least two years of leadership experience in a laboratory environment is necessary.

• A Bachelor of Science degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience recognized by the Board of Certification (BOC) is required.

• Strong communication skills and proven leadership abilities are essential.

• Certification from ASCP or ASHI/ACHI, or an equivalent certification through recognized alternative routes is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A specialty certificate in a relevant area and/or a Master’s degree is preferred.
