Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $25-$31 per hour, based on experience, education, and licensure. The pay structure is competitive, and we offer variable pay and defined career pathing opportunities.

Job Description
This role plays a crucial part in the recovery journey of our patients. As a Treatment Counselor - Substance Abuse, you will provide orientation to new patients, conduct intakes, discharge planning, and initial assessments. You will also involve patients in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention aspects of treatment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide professional counseling and referral services, including addressing clinical and special needs by maintaining referrals to specialized services and providing individual and group counseling as clinically necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess an associate degree in a relevant field or a majority of approved counselor certification courses, license, or certification necessary to provide counseling services to our patient population. You should have 0-5 years of experience, depending on your level of education and licensure. Certification as an Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor with a CA-approved certification agency or current credentials as licensed or license-eligible with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology is highly desirable.
