Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Quality Inn & Suites North Polaris, part of InnVite Hospitality Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall cleaning function in the hotel and working closely with management to achieve company and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Supervision: Jointly with the General Manager, interview, hire, train, direct, and counsel housekeeping and laundry staff.
  2. Work Scheduling: Plan and review work schedules with the General Manager for rooms, laundry, and utilities based on occupancy.
  3. Staff Supervision: Supervise the work activities of housekeeping and laundry associates.
  4. Training and Development: Train new employees in housekeeping and laundry procedures.
  5. Quality Control: Monitor housekeeping and laundry times, standards, and labor on a daily basis.
  6. Room Inspections: Conduct daily room inspections and report any issues to Maintenance, Front Desk, and the General Manager.
  7. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories of linen, terry, room supplies, and cleaning supplies, and submit orders as needed to the General Manager.
  8. Deep Cleaning: Organize and perform deep cleaning of guest rooms.
  9. Laundry and Housekeeping: Perform laundry and housekeeping duties as required.
  10. Reporting and Communication: Update and maintain daily housekeeping reports and communicate with Front Desk for accurate system updates.
  11. Common Area Cleaning: Supervise the cleaning of common areas to ensure the hotel is always in a clean and hygienic condition.
  12. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that housekeeping carts and equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, are maintained in a clean and working condition.
  13. Compliance: Comply with company and brand standards for rooms, laundry, and common areas, as well as company safety and security policies.
  14. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by management and/or designee.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Successful recent work experience in hotels or a related field.
  2. Skills: Proven computer and communication skills, valid driving license, leadership and supervisory skills, basic math and budgeting skills, physical ability to perform housekeeping duties, professional business appearance, excellent guest contact skills, and basic administrative skills.
  3. Personal Qualities: Ability to demonstrate and practice minimum courtesy standards while interacting with colleagues and guests.
