Field Enumerator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Field Enumerator to join our team at the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture. As a Field Enumerator, you will play a crucial role in collecting and maintaining accurate and reliable agricultural data for our organization.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting surveys and interviews with farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses, as well as performing crop counts and maintaining detailed records of your findings.

• Conduct surveys and interviews with agricultural producers to collect data on crop yields, livestock production, and other relevant information
• Perform crop counts and maintain accurate records of your findings
• Develop and maintain relationships with agricultural producers and other stakeholders in the rural community
• Provide reliable and objective statistics and information to support agricultural decision-making

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.

Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of agricultural practices and the ability to navigate rural communities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in a related field is preferred.
