About the Role

We are seeking a talented Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team at Markel. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for resolving low complexity and low exposure claims with the ability to take on increased responsibility as you develop in your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate claims leveraging technology and/or vendor support
  • Apply facts of loss against the terms of the policy to determine coverage
  • Settle claims within authority level and consult with manager on claims outside authority level
  • Draft coverage letters with manager approval
  • Provide excellent and professional customer service
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the insurance industry
  • Must be eligible to receive claims adjuster license
  • Interest in undertaking basic insurance courses or achieving industry designations, particularly related to marine insurance
