Unit Assistant Opportunity at Salter Healthcare

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unit Assistant to join our team at Salter Healthcare. As a Unit Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls with a professional response and communicate effectively with nursing staff
  • Filing of paperwork into the medical record
  • Make physician appointments for patients
  • Keep nursing resource documents up to date
  • Book transportation for residents to appointments
  • Replenish and restock nursing supplies
  • Assist with delivering meal trays
  • Answer call lights and personal alarms promptly
  • Meet and greet new residents and family members
  • Respond positively and timely to all residents, family members, and co-workers
  • Maintain resident confidentiality
  • Transport residents to different locations throughout the building
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Patience and a cheerful disposition
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds
