UW Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neurosciences Intermediate and Critical Care Unit. As a member of our team, you will work with a variety of neurology and neurosurgical patients, including those with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including interventions such as vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, and frequent assessments.
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of nurses to provide expert care and participate in shared governance initiatives.
- Utilize evidence-based practice and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- At least six months of nursing experience or current participation in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program
- Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification within six months of hire
