As a Senior Simulation and Modeling Specialist, you will work remotely to spearhead the creation of advanced parametric and multiphysics models for inverters and electrical machines, facilitating Virtual Vehicle Simulations.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000
Benefits:
Full-time position with comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, 401k, and Health Savings Account.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development of intricate models for Model-Based Design of Electrification Control Algorithms.
2. Utilize high-fidelity models to generate surrogate models.
3. Design and implement test plans for model development, employing test data for model validation.
4. Conduct drive cycle simulations to ascertain design limitations.
5. Perform virtual validation of system specifications.
6. Analyze dynamic performance, stability, and system losses.
7. Prepare detailed reports and maintain thorough documentation.
8. Enhance and manage libraries, models, and projects.
9. Develop innovative modeling and simulation tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, with a preference for a focus on Power Electronics.
- Experience as an individual contributor in a relevant field, either professionally or academically.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape (Simscape is essential).
- Familiarity with Model-Based Software Development.
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems, Power Electronics, semiconductors, Electrical Machines, and control mechanisms.
- Experience with LTSPICE simulation is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
