Role Description

The estimated annual salary for this position is $52,000 - $68,000, depending on experience and location. As a Medical Screener at CSL Plasma, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of plasma donations.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Perform donor registration procedures to determine suitability for plasma donation.
  2. Guide donors through screening processes, including health history evaluations and health screenings.
  3. Provide education on the use of therapeutic products derived from plasma donations, emphasizing the significance of screening and testing.
  4. Register new donors and transfer existing donors based on training and operational needs.
  5. Field phone calls and address donor inquiries or transfer calls to relevant personnel.
  6. Maintain vigilance regarding donor reactions during and following the pheresis process and alert staff as necessary.
  7. Notify the Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow concerns.
  8. Ensure accurate documentation of donor information within the electronic donor management system.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three months of experience in a clerical or customer-facing position, preferably in a healthcare context.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and capacity to follow instructions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace while working in a fast-paced environment.
