Rapid Response Nurse

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Adult Medical Emergency Team (AMET)/Rapid Response team. As a key member of our team, you will respond to codes and provide urgent care to patients in danger of dying.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Adult Medical Emergency Team (AMET)/Rapid Response setting.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Two years of recent ICU or ED independent nursing experience. Licensed military RN experience will be considered.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
