Job Title: Inside Machinist

At Bollinger Shipyards, we are seeking a skilled Inside Machinist to join our team in Lockport, LA. As an Inside Machinist, you will be responsible for fabricating machine components using manual and CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual mills, lathes, and drill presses to fabricate machine components with precision and accuracy.
  • Use measuring tools such as dial calipers and micrometers to ensure high-quality components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and work instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks on finished components to ensure they meet specifications.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with manual and CNC machining.
  • Proficiency in operating manual mills, lathes, and drill presses.
  • Ability to use measuring tools (dial calipers and micrometers).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and work instructions.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques and best practices.
  • Attention to detail and precision in fabricating components.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
