Shuttle Driver

This position is responsible for transferring trailers from one facility to another using a truck. The Shuttle Driver will operate a truck to transport trailers, ensuring necessary paperwork is completed and trailer temperature is checked. The ideal candidate will have a current CDL Class A license and 1 year of driving experience.

• Operate a truck to transfer or drop off trailers.
• Ensure necessary paperwork is completed.
• Check trailer temperature and notify management of any issues.
• Maintain proper fuel level of reefers.

The Shuttle Driver will participate as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly identify areas that lack cohesiveness and bring them to the attention of the team leader.

The Shuttle Driver will be familiar with Simmons' established operating systems, including quality, security, and office environment. The ideal candidate will understand the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and their role in support of these systems.

The Shuttle Driver will be required to push and pull tanks of product weighing up to 1500 pounds by use of a hand dolly or jack. The ideal candidate will be able to work in temperature extremes.

• Current CDL Class A license.
