About the Role

Fresno Madera Farm Credit is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Fiscal Department, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports and communications, managing internal control documentation, and performing financial analysis and modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, draft quarterly financial statements with footnotes, and analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Internal Controls: Assist in optimizing processes and streamlining procedures for increased internal control efficiency, maintain flowcharts identifying key processes and related controls, and identify issues and work with process owners to resolve them.
  • Financial Model Validation: Assist with assessment and validation of financial models, use testing methods to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, and communicate validation results and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Budget Monitoring: Draft written reports, graphs, and presentation materials to communicate Association financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, and create standard monthly budget reports.
  • Projects: Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, and support Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, public accounting or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Certifications: CPA or MBA preferred.
