Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program or Associate's degree preferred.
  • State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (DORA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) preferred.
