Nurse Manager Leadership Position in Butte, Montana

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to lead our team at St James Hospital in Butte, Montana. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one or more units and providing exceptional patient care.
About the Role:
- Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement staffing matrices that prioritize safe and quality patient care.
- Evaluate and optimize staffing patterns and unit demands to match competency and patient acuity.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new associates while promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion.
- Foster a professional environment that supports the growth and development of interdisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to develop strategies for associate retention and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies related to human resources.
- Maintain regulatory and survey readiness, monitor and report patient and associate safety events, and participate in root cause analysis.
- Demonstrate project management skills, facilitate change, and promote evidence-based practice changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice nursing in Montana or ability to obtain license.
- Basic Life Support certification upon hire and Advanced Care Life Support certification within six months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within six months and Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within two years.
- Leadership experience, including committee leadership or membership in professional organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Formal leadership experience as a charge nurse or supervisor.
- Experience with performance improvement processes and tools, such as High Reliability Organization, Lean, or IHI.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular attendance and ability to work nights and weekends.
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies.
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, and assess patient needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
The hourly rate for this position is $43.67 - $67.41, dependent on experience.
