The St. James Hotel, a leading boutique hotel with a rich history and Victorian charm, is seeking a skilled Mixology Expert to join our team in The Port, Red Wing's unique cocktail lounge.

About the Position
As a Mixology Expert, you will have the opportunity to learn and master cocktail mixology, elevated wines, and high-end liquors while providing exceptional guest experiences. This role involves working closely with colleagues across departments to deliver seamless service to guests and events.

Salary Range
The estimated salary for this position is between $12.00 and $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and performance. However, the salary range provides opportunities for advancement within the company, considering factors such as job-related skills, experience, and market demand.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Leverage knowledge of cocktail mixology, elevated wines, and high-end liquors to create memorable experiences for guests.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, and greet guests with a smile.
• Assist guests by providing information about food, drinks, and hotel services to enhance their stay.
• Support the cleanliness of the restaurant and bar areas.
• Manage transactions accurately and handle cash responsibly.
• Coordinate with team members across departments to ensure seamless service for guests and events.

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with 2 years of customer service and cash handling experience, strong communication skills, and basic computer skills with experience in POS Systems. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess problem-solving skills, and prioritize effectively. A passion for mixology and eagerness to learn and maintain product knowledge through ongoing education are highly valued.
