Job Overview


The primary aim of this role is to offer a growth opportunity for individuals new to the fields of Commercial, Agricultural, and Construction Lending. This position may also cater to seasoned lenders overseeing a smaller or less intricate loan portfolio.

This role is responsible for managing ongoing credit relationships with current loan clients of the Bank, while also actively pursuing and establishing new borrowing connections.


It is essential to identify and align both new and existing loan clients with additional Enterprise products and services. This position entails performing all related job responsibilities in accordance with the Loan Policy, procedures, and compliance standards of the Bank.



Key Responsibilities


Manage a funded loan portfolio ranging from $5,000,000 to $20,000,000, consisting of less complex credits and Commercial, Agricultural, or Construction loans. Responsible for all aspects of existing Business, Construction, and Agricultural credits for current loan clients.



Responsibilities Include:
Monitoring customer financial stability and performance through thorough research, analysis, and inspection.

Collecting, preparing, and analyzing necessary financial and credit documentation as mandated by Bank Policy and procedures. Ensure timely receipt of financial statements, tax returns, and fulfillment of outstanding items.

Responsible for the proper development and execution of required loan and collateral documentation based on loan type and structure. Oversee the closing and documentation of funding instructions for new and renewed loan transactions.

Review and make decisions on overdraft payments for existing clients. Accountable for the performance of loan payments and collection activities for outstanding credit of current clients.

Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to maintain existing client relationships; actively seek and develop new lending connections. Align borrowers with other Business and Consumer Banking products and services.

Proactively seek and refer other Trust, Brokerage, and Insurance products and services to both new and existing loan clients.


Collaborate with support resources including the Credit Analyst Team, Business Banking Assistant, and Credit Lending Officer to structure, analyze, and document loan packages and credit recommendations.


Continuously gather and apply information regarding the current economic landscape, including farming, ranching, commodity prices, and the business community; integrating this knowledge into the underwriting process.


Additional Responsibilities


Provide leadership and expertise, actively supporting the development activities of the Bank. Collaborate with departmental colleagues on planning and executing assigned projects and products.

Participate in various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.

Engage in organization-specific training and Quality Service programs.

Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.

Community involvement is highly encouraged.

Qualifications

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Relevant experience and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
Experience as a bank trainee or intern.

2 years of experience in a related field.

Work experience or family background in Agriculture, Ranching, or Small Business.

Knowledge and Skills

Exceptional credit and financial analytical skills.


Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities while delivering quality customer service.

Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with both external and internal clients.

Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to the performance of specified duties in the job description.

Familiarity with banking terminology and procedures.

Proficient in using various application software, learning computer programs, and understanding program outputs.

Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
