Job Title: Paralegal Specialist
About the Job:
As a Paralegal Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will provide legal and administrative support in areas like family law, international law, contract law, defense legal services, and judicial legal services. You will assist judges, Army lawyers, and unit commanders with legal matters and judicial work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal documents in courts-martial and other military justice matters
• Provide assistance in legal affairs, such as power of attorney, wills, and separation decrees
• Maintain law/administrative library
• Monitor and review actions for accuracy
Training and Benefits:
You will receive 10 weeks of Basic Training and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction. You will also receive a monthly paycheck, paid training, and access to education benefits, including the Montgomery GI Bill and Federal and State tuition assistance.
Requirements:
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements
