Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Jenks Public Schools.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating, identifying, and providing services related to communication disorders to support students and school teams in improving their social and educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students' communication skills and develop targeted goals to address their needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility and develop education plans as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing progress monitoring and service delivery as determined appropriate.
  • Support Site Intervention Teams to assist with strategies for students who may exhibit communication difficulties.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians and other school personnel to provide support and information regarding students as necessary.
  • Remain current in instructional and technological advances related to speech-language therapy.
Requirements:
  • Hold valid Oklahoma teaching certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Hold ASHA Certification or be eligible for ASHA Clinical Fellowship.
  • Master's degree required.
  • Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods, twist at the neck and trunk, bend at the waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift/move up to 20 pounds, handle objects and tools with hands, and repetitive use of fingers and hands.
