Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide nursing care for residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Supervise and direct junior staff members and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by physicians, documenting all interactions and treatments.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure efficient use of supplies and equipment, maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.
  • Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents, contributing to their overall well-being.
  • Coordinate nursing care for residents during therapy or procedures, ensuring a smooth and effective experience.
  • Interview and recommend applicants for hire, participating in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff as needed.
  • Supervise the nursing unit, scheduling and directing staff to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Assure inventory and supplies are maintained on the unit, communicating needs for housekeeping, maintenance, or dietary assistance.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN school of nursing.
  • Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year experience in nursing preferred.
