Job Summary:

PSR is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers and clinical staff in the examination and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and self, supporting patient safety initiatives

Triage patients to determine medical emergencies, plan of care, and refill medications

Prepare patients and assist physicians in assessments and examinations, including assessing patient safety needs

Assist physicians in performing diagnostic procedures, administering medications, and performing related tasks as directed

Document entries into medical records according to established policies and procedures

Perform disinfecting procedures and maintain exam rooms and other assigned areas

Requirements:

Prior experience in a family medical practice or urgent care is preferred

Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) - Allscripts Pro is a plus

Strong knowledge of clinical medical assistant duties, including injections, assisting with minor procedures, blood draws, vaccines, vitals, and triage

Certification through AAMA, NHA, or comparable organization

Phlebotomy skills/experience are preferred
