Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in Waverly, NY. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing high-quality speech-language therapy services.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide speech-language therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions, to improve communication skills and address cognitive-communication deficits.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
- Document resident progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Develop and implement in-service training programs for facility personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills in speech-language therapy.
- Conduct audiometric screenings and make referrals for further audiology evaluations or treatments as needed.
- M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school.
- New York State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (preferred).
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
