Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12 hours, Nights, including Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2+ years recent acute hospital and at least 1 year of critical care and 1 year of Level I surgical trauma experience
License: Registered Nurse License
Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Must-Have:
- NEURO experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
Job Description:
- Care for patients with kidney transplants, heart conditions, and free-flap neck dissections
- Manage neuro-critical and trauma patients along with other complicated surgical patients
- Work in a 28-bed unit with an average patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1
- Telemetry test on the first day of work
- Preferred experience includes Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation program
This position requires strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care and surgical trauma, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The successful candidate will be able to manage complex patient cases and provide high-quality care in a dynamic and challenging environment.
