We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility, as well as the well-being of our incarcerated individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor assigned areas for security and safety
- Ensure compliance with established security procedures
- Manage incarcerated individuals in various work details
- Escort incarcerated individuals to and from various locations
- Keep records and make reports on incarcerated individual movements and activities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work with and around incarcerated individuals
- Ability to work mandatory/voluntary overtime
- Ability to understand and utilize chemical agents properly
- Strong critical thinking skills
