Main Responsibilities:

  • Patient Support: Collaborate with clinical staff to prepare patients for appointments, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Exam Room Maintenance: Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms, adhering to infection control standards.
  • Vital Signs and History: Accurately take vital signs and document basic medical history.
  • Assistance During Exams: Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
  • Efficient Use of Time: Restock supplies, check inventory, and maintain organized areas.

Requirements:

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, including taking medical histories and understanding instructions.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computing and phone skills.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
  • Time Management: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cultural Competence: Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Professional Standards: Knowledge of 'Universal Precautions' and adherence to HIPAA standards.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages is a plus.
  • Licensure: Valid State Driver's License preferred.

Education and Certifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant and CPR certification.
