MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Tower Imaging Valencia. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI exams and x-rays in a safe and productive manner, prioritizing patient safety and information security.

• Perform MRI exams and x-rays in accordance with standard protocol and procedures.
• Ensure that MRI rooms are stocked with sufficient supplies for all exams scheduled for that day.
• Discuss procedures with patients and answer any questions they may have.
• Manage out-patient/in-patient schedules.
• Prepare work areas and materials as necessary for the completion of exams.
• Demonstrate ability to start I.V. and maintain access.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast limitations and exceptions.
• Consistently use patient identifiers before performing an exam.
• Meet regulatory requirements for licensures/certification renewal and comply with Tower's in-service training, attendance, punctuality, uniform, and dress code.
• Maintain utmost confidentiality in handling company and sensitive patient information, documents, and films/CDs.

• Completion of ACR-approved school for Radiologic Technology.
• 1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience as a MR Technologist.
• Current ARRT Certificate or AR MRI RT (X-ray) certificate.
• Current BLS provider card.
• Venipuncture Certificate.
• Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work flexible schedules as needed.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Demonstrates, observes, and complies with Tower safety, infection prevention, and control policies/procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.

Must be willing to work overtime when requested and authorized.

Responsible for completion of continuing education credits sufficient to retain current licensure at own cost and on own time.
