Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the IBMi Power 9 platform and interfaced applications to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation.
  • Design and debug IBMi Query or SQL queries to optimize system performance.
  • Develop and enforce best practices and programming standards for ERP system development.
  • Develop detailed work plans for design, construction, and implementation phases of application development projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive unit, system, and user testing plans to ensure system reliability and quality.
  • Oversee application troubleshooting and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze and debug daily production problems to identify and resolve root causes.
  • Provide support to other users as needed to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Work off-hours to install software and troubleshoot issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant computer science field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of strong proficiency in writing and testing RPG code.
  • Experience with Infor XA - Enterprise Integrator and IBM i (formerly AS/400) platform.
  • SQL (Structured Query Language) experience.
  • .NET experience is a plus.
