Job Overview

At Charles River Community Health, we are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in assisting the pharmacy team in preparing, billing, and dispensing prescription and OTC medications to our patients.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary of $22-$28 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and accommodating patient needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assisting in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Maintaining patient records and prescription information using our pharmacy computer system.
  • Performing duties accurately, knowledgeably, and completely.
  • Answering telephone calls professionally and promptly.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An active MA Pharmacy Technician Registration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work flexible schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy and organization.
  • A working knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • A willingness to learn new responsibilities.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician licensure.
  • Prior experience in a retail community setting.
  • Knowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
  • PioneerRX experience.
