Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings as required.
  2. Manage and organize electronic documentation.
  3. Identify and communicate any missing information or discrepancies to clients to ensure comprehensive and accurate cost proposals.
  4. Calculate the total costs associated with materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.
  5. Examine construction documents and assess specifications.
  6. Review RFPs and design documents, preparing RFIs as necessary.
  7. Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to define scope requirements.
  8. Prepare estimates to facilitate project planning, organization, and scheduling.
  9. Oversee pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
  10. Develop estimates that align with project objectives.
  11. Create the project Bill of Materials (BOM) for estimates and submit for pricing.
  12. Ensure all relevant documents and budgets are submitted prior to bid deadlines.
  13. Document all assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions for inclusion in proposals.
  14. Attend bid review meetings, prepared to discuss your scope of work in detail.
  15. Provide regular updates to management and clients regarding project status.
  16. Develop contingency plans and effectively manage risks that may affect cost and time estimates.
  17. Work collaboratively with other teams and conduct site visits as needed.
  18. Assist with project management tasks when required.
  19. Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients, vendors, and colleagues, fostering positive working relationships.
  20. Ensure timely and complete documentation of work performed.
  21. Participate in weekly preconstruction meetings with the entire team.
  22. Operate vehicles and equipment safely, adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards to contribute to a secure working environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience.
  3. Experience in data center projects.

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science, or Architecture.
  2. 7+ years of experience in Electrical or Mechanical Estimating.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compu Dynamics offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 USD, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, a 401k plan with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%, various voluntary benefits, employer-paid life insurance, 7 holidays, paid parental leave, volunteer time off, and up to 4 weeks of paid time off after 60 days of employment.
