Job Summary:

The Surgical Instrument Coordinator is a critical member of the AdventHealth team, responsible for managing the instrument inventory, coordinating instrument and set changes with service coordinators, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the Role:

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. As an Instrument Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical operations. Your expertise in sterile processing and instrumentation will be invaluable in maintaining high-quality patient care standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage instrument inventory, including ordering, organization, and storage
• Coordinate instrument and set changes with service coordinators
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, such as OSHA and Joint Commission standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years of experience as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician
• Completed sterile processing core curriculum
• Certification as an Instrument Technician
