Job Summary

As an Intake Coordinator at Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting the office management needs of our team. This includes providing exceptional secretarial and clerical services, as well as tracking and monitoring referrals for our Community-Based Youth Services (CBYS) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Intake: Welcome clients and families, either in person or over the phone, and guide them through the admission process.
  • Documentation and Data Management: Assist clients and families in completing required documentation and gather necessary information to process referrals and determine medical necessity.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate with clients and families about insurance status and costs, when applicable, and ensure that workers have the most up-to-date information about assigned clients.
  • Crisis Management and Support: Provide basic crisis management skills and knowledge of crisis procedures to support clients and families in need.
  • Administrative Support: Handle complaints from clients and families, redirecting them to the appropriate manager as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in office management.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, including evenings as required.
