Lead Respiratory Therapist

Spaulding Hospital-Boston & Cambridge(SRN,SRH,SHC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Respiratory Therapist to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Lead Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of respiratory therapists, and contributing to the development of respiratory care policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform respiratory procedures per established guidelines.
- Oversee daily lab maintenance, lab quality, staff support, equipment performance, staff assessment, analysis, reporting of results, and intervention.
- Develop and implement strategies for addressing challenges and improving patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the staff to ensure protocols and policies are followed to decrease ventilator days.
- Perform bronchoscopy and ultrasound support.
- Attend clinical team meetings for ITC, safety committees, Medical Alerts, and rapid responses as directed by the RT director.
- Maintain tracheostomy data log logs for tracking time to decannulation.
- Perform PFTs.
- Promote projects to decrease the LOS and improve patient outcomes.
- Education/Degree: Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist, Current Massachusetts Respiratory Care License.
- Skills: Basic and advanced respiratory skills, BLS certified, computer proficiency, Microsoft Office applications preferred.
