Diesel Mechanic Job DescriptionWaste Connections is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Kilgore, Texas. This is a 2nd shift position (2pm-2am) with excellent pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Perform maintenance-related work as required, including cleaning and maintaining a safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure needed repairs or tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair, or completion of a diesel tech program.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
