Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Other Information:
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS:
Operates equipment as specified in orientation checklists, policies, and procedures.
Participates in equipment training and competency assessments as they relate to role expectations.
Demonstrates job skills outlined in orientation checklists as they pertain to role expectations.
Previous direct patient care experience is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology or related experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as trauma, grief, and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitutes as required for the position.
Must be able to navigate freely within the facility with or without an assistive device and must be capable of performing the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.
Overall vision and hearing are necessary with or without assistive devices.Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for extended periods.
May require frequent postural adjustments such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Some exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials.
Must comply with MyMichigan Health's bloodborne pathogen and TB testing requirements.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, collaborate with others, work independently, maintain regular and predictable attendance, and remain alert.
Overall dexterity is required, including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering, and feeling.May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
Physical Demand Level:
Medium.
Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 21-50 lbs., frequently (34-66% of the workday) lift 20 lbs., and/or walk/stand/push/pull arm/leg controls and constantly (67-100% of the workday) lift 10 lbs.
