Caregiver Assistant

At DayBreak Adult Care Services, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to join our team in Columbia/Lexington. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our senior clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and live life to the fullest.

• Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and other daily living activities to ensure our clients' comfort and dignity.
• Support with Transfers and Exercises: Assist clients with transfers and range of motion exercises to maintain their physical mobility and flexibility.
• Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our clients, including maintaining a tidy living space and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Assist with Daily Tasks: Assist clients with shopping, meal preparation, socialization activities, housekeeping, and medication reminders to promote their overall well-being.
• Document Observations and Activities: Accurately document observations, activities, and services provided to our clients, ensuring timely reporting to supervisors as needed.

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background Screening: Must pass a background screening and TB screening.
• Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and valid auto liability insurance if driving is required for the job.
• Experience and Training: Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, but not required. CNA certification is not necessary, but dementia training is a plus.
