Position Overview:

The Senior Cost Analyst at StellarPeak Careers is responsible for leveraging extensive knowledge and expertise in the application of cost estimation and analysis methodologies. This role is crucial in supporting complex Government acquisitions and ensuring accurate financial assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced principles and theories of cost estimation to evaluate intricate Government projects.
  • Establish cost estimating relationships through sophisticated statistical analysis techniques.
  • Collect, normalize, and analyze data to create effective cost estimating models and methods.
  • Generate comprehensive life-cycle cost estimates using diverse methodologies such as parametric and analogy-based approaches.
  • Lead the development of life-cycle cost estimates for significant system acquisitions.
  • Identify critical cost and technical risk factors, translating them into potential program cost implications.
  • Employ Monte Carlo simulation techniques proficiently to enhance cost estimation accuracy.
  • Maintain a TS/SCI clearance to access sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in relevant fields such as Engineering, Physics, Operations Research, Cost Analysis, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in cost estimation within various domains, including:
    • Space hardware and systems.
    • Launch and ground systems.
    • Software cost estimation.
  • Proficiency in data collection, normalization, and model development.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytical methods, including multivariate regression analysis and cost improvement curve analysis.
  • Technical knowledge of satellite systems.
  • Experience with risk analysis software and statistical analysis tools.
  • ICEAA certification, such as Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA).
