MRI Technologist Position

NYU Langone Health System is a leading medical center that offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in Garden City.

The successful candidate will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and perform procedures according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately utilize the PACS (Picture Archival System) to make images available to the radiologist for interpretation.
  • Enter proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System and complete exams in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Report any equipment problems or malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma or Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of Hire or transfer.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Program or related Health field.
  • Years of MRI technologist or training experience.
