About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Assistant Manager to join our team at Magnolia Manor Senior Living. As a key member of our dietary department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of nutritional services for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Staff Management: Assist with planning, developing, and distributing work schedules and assignments to ensure adequate staffing and meet established quality standards.
  2. Training and Development: Provide employee training and feedback to meet established quality standards and ensure that all staff members are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  3. Disciplinary Actions: Enforce employee disciplinary system per established Magnolia Manor policies and procedures.
  4. Quality Control: Make daily rounds to assure that assigned personnel are performing all required duties according to current federal, state, and local standards and guidelines.
  5. Facility Maintenance: Assure that service work areas, food storage rooms, preparation areas, etc., are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Inspect food storage rooms, chemical rooms, and freezer for upkeep.
  6. Reporting and Communication: Assist Dietary Manager with written and oral reports/recommendations to the Dietitian Consultant and/or Administrator regarding issues concerning the Dietary Department.
  7. Recruitment and Selection: Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of Dietary personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions that pertain to long-term care.
