Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in preparing, packaging, and labeling drug products under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package drug products according to established procedures and protocols.
  • Document and label drug products accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform data entry and filing associated with the process.
  • Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects and collect data for workload measurements.
  • Assist with drug purchasing and inventory control procedures.
Requirements
  • California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
  • Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy preparing sterile I.V. admixture.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Experience in IV solution processing.
