Job Title: Cloud Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based systems that meet the needs of our clients in the Army.

Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, including AWS GovCloud, to support the Army's mission. You will work closely with our engineering team to design and implement automation solutions using Python scripts and Lambda functions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from cloud migration to infrastructure as code. You will also have the chance to collaborate with our team to develop and implement new technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud-based systems that meet the needs of our clients in the Army
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including AWS GovCloud
  • Work closely with our engineering team to design and implement automation solutions using Python scripts and Lambda functions
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement new technologies and solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering and automation
  • Experience with Amazon AWS GovCloud
  • Experience configuring and patching OS
  • Experience with Python and Lambda functions
  • Knowledge of AWS services and structures
  • Ability to develop scripts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • CompTIA Security + Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience configuring and administering AppStream
  • Experience in the military or working with government agencies in the DoD
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL databases and data backups
  • Knowledge of log collection and aggregation tools such as Splunk
  • Possession of excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Possession of strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137, annualized USD. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
