Job Overview

The Town of Brookline is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Coach to lead our competitive swimming program at the Evelyn Kirrane Aquatics Center.

As a Head Coach, you will be responsible for designing and implementing challenging workouts for U.S. Master Swimmers, fostering a positive and supportive team environment, and promoting the growth and development of our swimmers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and administer workouts that cater to the needs and goals of our swimmers
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes athlete engagement and well-being
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve swimmer performance and achievement
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective coaching program
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of one season of experience coaching competitive swim teams (age group, club, or US)
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, training methods, and program management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with swimmers, parents, and staff
  • A passion for promoting the growth and development of young athletes
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $18.00-$20.00/hour, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a dynamic and supportive work environment.
