About the Role

At South Shore Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting our patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Filling routine drug orders for unit dose medications and refilling medications in Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Cabinets
  • Performing Non-Sterile and Sterile Compounding tasks
  • Repackaging medication into unit dose barcoded packages
  • Replenishing code carts with drug supply and performing inventory duties for the Central Pharmacy operation

Requirements

  • High school level of education or equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of 3 months of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with hospital pharmacy experience being desirable
  • RPT (Registered Pharmacy Technician) or RPI (Registered Pharmacy Intern) certification required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Student enrolled in a Pharm D program, eligible for consideration as a Technician Trainee
  • Third year Pharm D program student will be given consideration as Registered Pharmacy Intern

Salary Information

We offer an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
