Tact Staff is currently seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Operating Room services for a travel nursing opportunity.

- Employment Type: Travel
We adhere to a 75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE - only non-local travelers are eligible. Candidates must be aware of their submission to our facility and should not contact the facility directly. It is essential that candidates possess an active license in the relevant state. Any requests for time off must be communicated at the time of submission for consideration. Time off requests made after acceptance will not be accommodated.
When submitting candidates, please include at least two references (one from the current manager), a resume, and a completed skills checklist/competency assessment. A minimum of two years of recent experience in a large operating room is required. Experience in orthopedic, ENT, or vascular procedures is advantageous. Candidates should be adaptable, team-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Successful completion of at least one prior 13-week travel assignment is mandatory.
Certifications: BLS certification is required; PALS and ACLS certifications are preferred. All certifications must be obtained through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or the American Red Cross. Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred, and candidates must be capable of scrubbing.
Shift Details: Night shifts are expected, with the possibility of fluctuations to meet departmental staffing needs. Weekend, on-call, and holiday shifts may be required. Travelers may be the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their assigned location. Traveling pairs may not have guaranteed matching schedules or shifts.
Orientation: The orientation period will occur during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 total hours, and will include EPIC training (candidates may test out if they have used EPIC within the last six months).
Scrubs: For RNs, any solid color scrubs are acceptable. The scrub top, pants, and jacket (if worn) must be of the same solid color.
