Job Purpose:Enable children to pursue their education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities:Instruction:- Review plans and schedules with the principal, supervisor, and/or designated teacher to ensure a smooth teaching day.
- Teach lessons prepared by the absent teacher, maintaining the established curriculum and standards.
- Provide written feedback and reports on the day's activities, as requested by the building principal.
- Follow all school and CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures, adhering to good teaching practices.
- Consult with the building principal and/or supervisor before initiating any lesson or procedure not specified in the teacher's plans.
- Maintain established routines and procedures in the school and classrooms to ensure a smooth learning environment.
- Assume responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in class and at other times during the school day, as requested.
- Maintain appropriate student behavior at all times throughout the school day for assigned students.
- Maintain good relations with faculty and staff of the district.
- Treat information about students and staff with utmost confidence.

Requirements:- BS/BA degree or higher from an accredited university.
- Completion of District's Substitute Workshop.
