The Senior Radiology Technologist will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support physicians in providing timely patient care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
2. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
3. Ensure accurate identification of images and patients, marking images appropriately for interpretation.
4. Order examinations that align with the procedures being conducted.
5. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient needs across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
6. Participate in on-call duties as required, adhering to established callback standards for General Radiology.
7. Assist in quality assurance reviews to uphold professional standards for both oneself and student technologists.
Physical Requirements
This role necessitates the ability to regularly lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to or exceeding 50 pounds, as well as standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The position may involve working in confined spaces and sitting at a workstation for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks such as typing.
Compensation
The starting pay for this position has been recently adjusted, with a minimum hourly rate of $26.47, contingent upon the candidate's experience.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Associate's Degree
- Required Licenses/Certifications: Kentucky Radiation Operator's License; Basic Life Support certification; eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
