Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our Respiratory Care Therapy department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
• Participate in the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Provide technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care, ensuring optimal functionality and patient safety.
• Assist with general department functions, including cleaning, assembling, and maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting problems to ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• LIC-Respiratory Therapist - State of Michigan
• CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - National Board for Respiratory Care
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, with a variable schedule that includes every other weekend. The successful candidate will be based at our Farmington Hills Hospital location.
